Part of our Legionary formation is the study of humanities. We want to understand the heart of man. We want to see what is beyond the work in itself. We want to see what shapes culture.
As is a tradition in Cheshire, we had our monthly cultural visit on October 22, 2018. This time we went to Boston. The first-year brothers took a “Freedom Trail” tour, visiting important places for the American Revolution. The tour was guided by some second year brothers. After finishing, they went to the Museum of Fine Arts, where they joined the whole group of second-year brothers. There, they had a tour through the galleries dedicated to Egyptian and Greek art. Meanwhile, the second-year brothers studied different works of art that they had learnt about in art class, mainly Baroque and Rococo paintings.
This was a great opportunity to continue our humanistic formation and to see how man expresses himself through art.
