On Thursday Jan 26th, the Humanist community (40 brothers and 2 priests) headed down to Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life. After Mass on Friday morning at the Armory, they attended Rally near the Washington Monument, which included the speech given by Vice-President, Mike Pence. Motivated and energized by the Rally, they linked up with Regnum Christi members to march together to the United States Supreme Court.
The Cheshire group stayed through the weekend, and were able to celebrate Mass on Saturday at the Pope John Paul II National Shrine, asking for the great saint's intercession for their priestly formation. The afternoon was spent visiting the National Gallery of Art in small groups as a complement to their Art History course.
The weekend concluded with Sunday Mass and the long bus ride back to Cheshire, where they began their 3-day retreat in preparation for the devotional renewal of their religious vows on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Thursday Feb. 2).
