The power goes out on a Friday afternoon, and around a hundred men are in a small town of Connecticut, at the Seminary of the Legionaries of Christ. The majority of these men are donning a black cassock. The others are guests on retreat.

“It is always an awesome experience to come here to Cheshire. You always end up renewed and at peace” said Oscar Perez. As Lent was on its way, Fr David Daly, LC, preached a triduum to 26 men, members of the Regnum Christi Movement, who came from all over the country. The theme of the retreat was centered on Lent and their role as men in society. They were aware that in order to answer the call from God they needed to dedicate time to leave the noisy world and be before God. Away from all that can distract, and away from their jobs and families (and even away from electric power!), it was a great opportunity for these men to renew their commitments. The retreat ended with the renewal of the Regnum Christi promises and a shared meal with the brothers at the seminary.
