Fr. Nicholas Sheehy LC grew up in sunny Southern California. He attributes his vocation to the Blessed Virgin and Pope John Paul II. He spent his two years of novitiate in Germany and two years of Humanities in Cheshire. After studying philosophy in Rome at the
Legionary Regina Apostolorum College, for his apostolic internship he worked with
ECYD under the tutelage of Fr. Michael Sliney LC in the greater Washington, D.C., area. Highlights include the ECYD Conventions at Camp Castleton and the National Convention in Georgia. Following a master’s degree in philosophy and a bachelor’s degree in theology at the
Regina Apostolorum in Rome, he was sent as Regnum Christi Young Men’s Section Director and ECYD Director to San Salvador, El Salvador. He had direct pastoral and teaching experience at the Legionary school,
Colegio Highlands San Salvador, directed a clubhouse for adolescents and young adults, brought the conversion retreat
SEARCH to El Salvador, founded an apostolate to feed the poor, and participated every year in
Holy Week Missions in Mexico. He currently serves as the assistant to the rector.
